Disclaimer
Every result on this website is an estimate. Your actual energy use and bill will differ.
An estimate is not a utility bill
Electricity bills can include charges that a running-cost estimate does not, such as:
- fixed daily or monthly charges (standing or service charges);
- taxes, levies and other fees;
- time-of-use, tiered or seasonal prices, and demand charges;
- the energy used by every other appliance in your home.
Why real appliance use varies
- A rated wattage is often the maximum or nominal draw. Many appliances cycle on and off or change power with their settings, so average use can be lower or higher.
- Use varies with settings, age, maintenance, room and outdoor temperature, and how the appliance is used.
- Results are only as accurate as the power, time and price figures you enter.
No professional advice
This website provides general information only. It is not financial, electrical or energy-efficiency advice. Check important decisions against your appliance documentation, your electricity supplier and a qualified professional. The methodology explains how estimates are calculated.
